Oh my goodness, I had the most delightful graduation session with Rayna that I am so excited to finally share! A few years ago, I had the absolute joy of photographing Rayna for her high school senior portraits. She was bright, sweet, and full of big dreams—and even then, I knew she was going places. So when she reached out again to book a session to celebrate her college graduation, I was beyond excited (and a little emotional, if we’re being honest).
We decided to return to Bok Tower Gardens, a favorite location for both of us—and also the same place we shot her senior session. You’d think it might look too similar, but here’s the thing: Bok Tower is pure magic. With its seasonal changes, variety of scenery, and endless little tucked-away spots, it felt like an entirely new setting. You’d never even know we’d been there before.
One of my favorite moments from the shoot was when I had Rayna crouch down in this flower bush that had caught my eye. I know it probably felt a little awkward in the moment, but as I showed her the images on the back of my camera, her reaction was priceless. She gasped and said it looked like something straight out of a Disney movie. And she was honestly so right. She looks like a Disney princess. And what’s even more special is those flowers happened to be her mom’s favorite. How cute is that???
It’s those little moments, filled with laughter and happy energy, that really make these sessions memorable and joyful. As a Plant City senior and graduation photographer, these full-circle moments are everything to me. Getting to walk alongside my clients through different seasons of life…documenting not just how they look, but who they are and who they’re becoming…is truly the heart of why I do what I do.
Rayna, watching you grow into such a confident, kind-hearted, and beautiful young woman has been an honor. Watching you embrace this exciting chapter with family by your side is a beautiful reminder of how precious these milestones are. Thank you for trusting me, not once, but twice, with such special milestones. I’ll be cheering you on always.
